KORDE: Where Creativity Breaks the Rules

The special edition “KORDE” brings together three exceptional wines — KORDE Rosado, KORDE Blanco, and KORDE Tinto — each with an extremely limited production. These wines, from our oldest vineyards, stand out for their disruptive character.

From their creation to the experience of those who savour them, KORDE embodies deep inspiration and creativity, establishing itself as a unique expression of winemaking artistry that has gained international acclaim.

KORDE Blanco is an enigmatic and captivating wine with an extremely limited production. Made from Albillo Mayor and other native varieties from our oldest vines, this wine blends two consecutive vintages to deliver a distinctive complexity. Its enveloping profile, with aromas of flowers and stone fruits and a silky creaminess, captivates from the first sip. Recognised as the best white wine in Spain by Wine Enthusiast magazine.

KORDE Rosé is an elegant reinterpretation of the traditional Ribera “clarete”. Crafted from Tempranillo with a touch of Albillo, this wine stands out for its freshness, brilliance, and vibrant personality. KORDE Rosado symbolises the joy of living, offering a flavourful and expressive experience that always finds its place in shared moments. Awarded as the best rosé in Spain by Wine Enthusiast magazine.

KORDE Tinto takes the essence of the KORDE range to new heights, revealing a singular expression in Ribera del Duero. This light red is such a special wine that you must try it to truly understand it. Sourced from a century-old vineyard and aged in a unique French oak barrel, it shines with freshness, intense aromas of red berries and citrus, and vibrant acidity. With only 788 bottles available, this wine offers a unique and captivating sensory experience.

«The first vintage of PINEA’s Korde Tinto is a new look for Ribera del Duero (…) A bold, defiant departure for the region (…) While most Ribera del Duero wines are not typically known for their drinkability, the PINEA Ribera del Duero KORDE Tinto 2022 proves otherwise. It is a bold, defiant departure for the region. A lightly extracted tempranillo that is vibrant and fresh, with less wood character. If the classic Ribera del Duero style resembles a cappuccino or latte, this light, transparent approach is more akin to drip coffee or a pour-over» Zekun Shuai – Senior Editor at JAMES SUCKLING

KORDE Tinto 2022

Scores JAMES SUCKLING – 94 points
Alcoholic strength 13,5º
Own vineyards KORDE Tinto comes from one of our oldest plots, whose vineyard register dates back to 1945, although it could be even older.

This plot, called “La Isa”, is very special and is located in an elevated moorland area, next to some almond trees, where there is a clay-limestone vein. In this vineyard there is a coplantation of different white and red varieties, among which Tinta Fina or Tempranillo predominates.

Harvest by hand 19 September 2022
Vinification and aging Fermentation is carried out in a small press, using 50% whole grapes, some of which are crushed during vatting. During this process, the cap is soaked once a day to limit extraction, and devatting is carried out before fermentation is complete. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation takes place in a single 500-litre multi-purpose French oak barrel.

KORDE Rosé 2022

Scores JAMES SUCKLING – 91 points
Alcoholic strength 14,5º
Own vineyards KORDE is an aged claret made with Tempranillo grapes from ‘Cardisanto’, our most expressive vineyard. Situated at an average altitude of between 931 – 942 metres, this plot experiences very marked temperature changes, with snowy winters and hot summers, and large temperature fluctuations between day and night. The vines grow on hills with intense sun exposure, on sandy limestone soils. These unique conditions give the fruit a profound personality, which is reflected in every bottle of KORDE Rosé
Harvest by hand 19 September 2022.
Vinification and aging After being in tank for 7 hours, the must was lightly bled to extract the free-run juice, characterised by its lighter colour. One part was transferred to a concrete egg to carry out a controlled fermentation, while the other part was placed in 500-litre barrels, where the wine aged on fine lees for 6 months with periodic batonnage
Bottling date 18 April 2023
Release date 16 September 2024
